The met office has forecasted scattered to heavy rainfall on Tuesday in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu following a trough of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, closer to Sri Lanka.

A fresh spell of rain battered many parts of Tamil Nadu and disrupted normal life, submerging pockets of Chennai under water. Schools and colleges in Chennai were once again shut as a result of the continuous rain.The met office has forecasted scattered to heavy rainfall on Tuesday in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu following a trough of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, closer to Sri Lanka.Due to water overflowing at the railway tracks in Villupuram – Tambaram section, Southern Railways announced that the following trains are cancelled/diverted on Tuesday.<!– Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Anil Kumar Saxena, Addl DG (PR) said, “Two sections are badly affected, Chennai Egmore Villupuram section and Chennai Central Gudur are the two sections. Because of these two sections getting affected, train operations are badly impacted. More train cancellations likely to happen on December 2.
