A Delhi college female professor was assaulted by one of her male colleagues when she objected to being filmed and photographed by him during a heated exchange of words. The incident took place in November last year.

In the footage, the two are seen arguing when the man decides to click a picture of the woman. Objecting to him photographing her, the woman strikes at him and throws his phone down. Angered by her move, the man hits the woman, and the two then get into a fistfight.

The incident reportedly took place on 4 November, 2014 but surfaced only recently. While it was not clear as to why the incident was brought to light only now, the woman has claimed that she was being regularly harassed by the man.

The man was released on bail after an FIR was filed against him, but the woman herself was suspended from the college for causing ‘misconduct’.

The woman also told media channels that Gupta would often come into her cabin and use derogatory words in front of her and threaten her.
