Security forces on Wednesday busted a major militant hideout in Kupwara district of north Kashmir and claimed to have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Based on a specific input, a joint search operation of Army and police was launched in the forest area near village Boban Watsar of Handwara this morning, a defence spokesman said. He said a concerted search of the area resulted in busting a hideout from where two Sniper Rifles, one Under Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL), one Pistol and large quantity of assorted grenades and ammunition were recovered.
