“The AAP functionary (Mr. Joshi) himself has filed this complaint. What do they have to say about this? Prashant Bhushan filed public interest litigation. The raid has not taken place in the CM’s personal office, it is about an officer, who is facing enquiry,” he said.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday urged the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi not to create chaos and obstacles in the way of CBI’s investigation of a senior Delhi Government official for alleged corruption.”The CBI is doing its duty. Nobody should put obstacles in the way of the CBI conducting its duty and responsibility. Everyone must help in that. I would suggest that the case should not be influenced by making statements. You are weakening the fight against corruption by politicising the issue. Let us not obstruct the CBI from doing its duty,” Naidu told media here.<!– Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Further maintaining the Centre’s its stand, Naidu said the government has no role in the CBI raid.”The AAP functionary (Mr. Joshi) himself has filed this complaint. What do they have to say about this? Prashant Bhushan filed public interest litigation. The raid has not taken place in the CM’s personal office it is about an officer, who is facing enquiry,” he said.”The public prosecutor was pressurized and threatened. He has written to the Government saying that he wants to withdraw from the case. All this shows there is something serious happening. Let the enquiry be over,” he added.Mocking the opposition, Naidu asked whether the CBI should wait for an auspicious time to do its work.”The opposition should cooperate. If they are sincere to fight against corruption, they must all really appreciate the action taken by the CBI.”Echoing similar sentiments, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh condemned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s statement and called it ‘obnoxious’.”In day to day social behavior, the kind of resolution to be put into use, I think it is yet to be learnt by some of our friends,” Singh said.Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi alleged that the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal is fighting to defend corruption. “They should understand that being dishonest won?t help them bring success in politics. Probe is going on and truth will come out in the probe. Your chaos before the probe indicates there is something fishy,” he added.Meanwhile, Kejriwal continued his assault on the Centre and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the raid by the CBI on his office yesterday and said that said that the documents that were seized from his office had absolutely no connection to the allegations that were being probed.”CBI kept reading DDCA file in my office. They wud hv seized it. But after my media briefing, they left it. Not clear if they took a copy,” Kejriwal tweeted.Attacking Jaitley for ‘rubbishing’ his allegations on the Centre, accusing them of being involved in the raid, Kejriwal said that the former was a liar and questioned his role over the DDCA scam.”FM lied in the Parliament yesterday. Why is Jaitley ji so scared of DDCA probe? What is his role in DDCA scam,” Kejriwal said in another tweet.
