New Delhi: The wife of senior BJP leader LK Advani was admitted to Aiims on Tuesday due to health problems. According to doctors, Kamla Advani, who is in her early eighties, has been put in the ICU of the premier institute and her condition is at present “stable”.

“Kamla Advani was admitted to Aiims in the morning at 6 AM with fever and urinary tract infection. She is under close monitoring by a team of super specialists comprising urologists, geriatric medicine and intensive care specialists. “Her condition is presently stable, she is maintaining blood pressure and oxygenation without any external support,” said Prof Neerja Bhatla, Chairperson, Media and Protocol Division at All-India Institute Of Medical Science.
According to sources, the wife of the former deputy prime minister complained of breathing problems early in the morning following which she was rushed to Aiims.
