In this edition of the Dr Subhash Chandra Show, talent management has been discussed at length. Dr Subhash Chandra spoke to students at IIM Ahmedabad about identifying, managing and retaining talent to lead one’s organisation on the path of success.Stating that today, the importance of talent management was equivalent to business policies and decisions, Dr Chandra emphasised that it more than merely a recruitment process. Students voiced their thoughts on the subject saying that talent management was not just about recruiting bright people, it also meant figuring out how to make optimum use of the people available to you and get the best productivity out of them. The best way to achieve company goals was to view every person as a talent and a valuable asset. Everyone has a unique talent and nurturing the creativity of an individual is important to get the best out of them.<!– Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Dr Chandra pointed out that earlier, a company’s valuation system was focussed more on measuring the tangible assets of an enterprise instead of intangible assets like talent, IPR and human resource. However, this is beginning to change, he said.
