Out of the 58 students at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical college in Kanpur who were allegedly involved in the Vyapam scam, 3 of them are currently absconding, according to reports.Mohammad Kaleem Ansari (2013 batch), Atul Kumar Gupta (2010 batch) and Basant Kumar (2010 batch) have been reportedly missing for quite some time. Special Task Force (STF) had issued a notice to these three students as well but when the college administration, puzzled with the ongoing death series, tried to find out all the marked student, there was no clue of Ansari, Gupta and Basant Kumar. <!– Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Neither did they meet the STF, nor did they come to college in a long time. College administration even tried to get their where about from their families but no information is been gathered yet.The Media Cell In-charge of the college Ajay Sharma told Zee that the college is very worried about the situation and trying its best to find them.Ajay said, “STF gave us a list of 57 students that might have to do something with Vyapam. We gave all the required details of those students to STF.”According to Ajay, 21 students of that list had already passed the final years exams before 2010 where as 37 students belong to batches that start from 2010 onwards.Out of the total 58, 30 were booked by the STF out of which 23 were granted bail. Seven students of this college are still behind the bars whereas four of them were sent back after the initial interrogation.
